Aureleo Sans is a flamingo. She is also a Colombian-American, disabled, queer, formerly unhoused writer and poet who lives in San Antonio, Texas. She is a 2022 Tin House Scholar, a Periplus fellow, a VONA alumnus, and a creative nonfiction associate editor at jmww. She was named the second-place winner of Fractured Lit's 2021 Micro Fiction Contest. Her work has been published in Passages North, The Offing, Shenandoah, and Electric Literature and is forthcoming in X-R-A-Y, Waxwing, and elsewhere.
